This breeding should be considered if you are looking for a versatile shorthair. A little about Emma: she finished her 2009 specials campaign year as # 11 German Shorthaired Pointer in the country but don’t think she is just a pretty face! She accepts each challenge I offer her, she is a great house dog, she loves everyone and she is just enough of a “tomboy” who will keep you laughing with her antics! We are currently working on Tracking, Agility and Obedience! Emma’s Health Clearances are as follows: OFA Chic Registered - OFA Hips Good, OFA Elbows Normal, OFA Thyroid, CERF’d yearly, CD Clear, vWD Clear and OFA Cardiac Clear by Doppler Echocardiogram 2/2010.

In my search for a “perfect” stud dog I found Sonny! I love what he has already produced! I wanted to find a dog that was the best of all the worlds I am involved with Hunting, NAVHDA and of course a striking sire for future Show Champions! Sonny has more than proven himself with the different females he has been breed to – he throws his beautiful type and style. I am very excited about this upcoming breeding which would have puppies expected to be born around June 1st. Puppies will be AKC and NAVHDA registered.

After a lot of research and comparing dogs and pedigrees, Dave chose our male, Woody to breed with his Nellie.  Dave was looking to compliment Nellie’s natural abilities, hunting style and calm demeanor with a dog who possessed these same desirable traits for this upcoming litter.

Nellie is very calm in the home, is a great companion and her forte is hunting.  Her trainer (Mark Sargent) can’t compliment her enough stating that she was extremely easy to train and always does her best to please.   She really has something to offer the breed. 

Woody passed at 14 years of age but has his own list of traits to bring to this breeding.  Woody was a conformation champion, finishing at 15 months of age with a 5 point major at a GSP Specialty.  He also completed his Senior Hunter title and Utility Prize 1.  He was a natural backer and his ability to scent birds was well beyond that of most others.  He was a great companion and has passed on his abilities to his get. 

We expect good things from this breeding and are very excited about the prospects of these pups.
